After leaving Grasshopper Manufacture back in August 2011 with less than a year in office, Little King’s Story creator Yoshiro Kimura has finally set up his own little studio called Onion Games. The announcement of Kimura’s new studio came via his Facebook page last Sunday. Onion Games does so happen to have a website, but the only thing there to see is a little onion popping out of a blank background and a sign that reads “under construction”.

Both Yoshiro Kimura and Harvest Moon mastermind, Yasuhiro Wada, departed from the studio formerly known as Marvelous Entertainment ( Marvelous AQL) to join up with Suda 51 and friends at Grasshopper Manufacture last year in 2011. The duo left Grasshopper Manufacture only less than after they joined to go their separate ways. Since then, Wada started his own company, Toybox Inc., who are currently working on a 3DS game with the ever so vague title of Project Happiness, and the director’s cut of Deadly Premonitions for the PS3 in collaboration with  Marvelous AQL and Access Games.

When questioned if their bromance was at an end, Wada told Siliconera: “Right now, I’m not working with Kimura-san, but he is a good friend. He has been impressed at smaller games since they have many new ideas.”
