Unit 13 Demo Freezes PS Vita, Pulled From Store

Zipper Interactive released a demo for their upcoming shooter title Unit 13 at the launch of PS Vita. There has been alot of issues, and at least in Europe, the demo has been pulled.

Issues have ranged from the audio cutting out, other applications failing to launch after leaving the demo, to crashing the whole system.

Playstation Europe tweeted “You may have noticed that the Unit 13 demo has been removed from PS Store. We are working to reinstate it as soon as possible.” which is the only comment that the company has had to say.

The demo is still available on the US as of press time, but it sounds like the developer is hard at work fixing the issues, and we can assume it will be updated.

  You didn’t have to do that. You only had to hold the power button down (for a VERY long time, like almost a minute) to pull up the system restore menu and just select reset system (not restore or format, just reset/reboot).

    Man, I felt a mini heart attack when my Vita crashed in the Unit 13 demo, it was really fun, while it lasted, that is, the I reset my Vita, deleted the demo, and all is good in the world again!

I actually bought the game from walmart and never downloaded the demo. I was maybe 30 seconds into it when sound cut out. So i paused the game, and the game froze. Then i live screened it, and my vita crashed. Theyre calling that error the “blue light of death.” Seeing as your ps home button just flashes blue and your vita is unresponsive. By holding down your pwr button for 20-30a seconds it will prompt a start up menu. By restarting your vita, (which only takes a couple seconds,) the problem is taken care of. Apparently there is a patch upgrade available for download from the developers, but from the research ive done, its just not working for too many people. I suggest cutting your losses and deleting the demo all together. Unfortunately if youre like me and bought the game, youre either going to have to eat the 30 bucks or try and contact the developers and give them your sob story. Lol i hope this helps!
