I’m not going to lie, when I first read “Wolf Pack” mode, it sounded pretty bad ass. Now that I have read into it a bit longer, it doesn’t seem like it is going to be as cool as I first thought. Never the less, any new multiplayer mode should be more interesting than that god awful multiplayer that Brotherhood and Revelations featured. Lets get down to it, shall we?

Wolf Pack mode actually has you doing what the name suggests, you will be hunting your prey in a pack with 1-3 of your closest assassin buddies. As soon as you rack up 2-4 players, you will be set in an arena where your only goal is to kill your prey. The only catch is that it is timed, and you have to finish really fast if you plan on getting a good score. Once you catch your prey, you will gain a bit more time, and a new beat will be let loose for you to murder. Oh Ubisoft, how did you know that we love to mercilessly kill things in packs? You are so thoughtful.

Simple enough, eh? The targets are going to be pretty tough to catch, considering they actually react to the environment. Kill something in front of your target, and all your friends will burn you at the stake because the target will run away scared. You will have to work together if you plan on completing these missions with ease.

Assassin’s Creed III hits shelves on October 30th.
