Some of you true gaming veterans may remember Tony Takoushi, a veteran developer who has been making his mark on the gaming industry for the past 30 years. He started in publishing with the Pan Best Software guides in 1981, moved on to work at publications such as CVG and PCG, and finally ended up doing coding from his own room (he coded a Commodore C16, Commodore C64, Atari 400/800 game called Hyperforce). His latest presence has been seen at Half-Brick, the developers of two very popular mobile titles, Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. Now, it looks like he is going his own way, deciding to make his own developing studio.
Tony has moved on, and is making a new developing studio named Total ArKade Software, and their first project is an unannounced game for both PC and mobile devices. Coming from such a gaming veteran, I’m sure we can expect something decent as the game nears completion. Tony had this to say…
”I want to give players something new and fresh to play, with a lot of exciting content and gameplay,”
“Unique characters and great are were a key focus for the game universe. This is a great time to be setting up an indie development team with so many opportunities to innovate and create quality titles in the mobile space.”
Hopefully we will hear more about his secret title in the near future.
