New York – Jan 31, 2011 – Paradox Interactive announced just yesterday that Hearts of Iron III will be receiving a brand new expansion, entitled Hearts of Iron III: For the Motherland.  For the Motherland will be the second expansion for the popular PC WW2 strategy game that takes players on an epic journey through the torn earth of World War II where you can occupy any of 15,000 provinces; wage war, and guide any one of 100 nations.

With military command AI and a cast of historical characters including military commanders and politicians, Hearts of Iron III has been hailed as the Reader’s Choice for “Best PC Strategy game” at E3, as well as receiving nominations in the same category at IGN and Gaming Excellence.
