Sony is a champion of business models. You have a dying handheld and tons of recorded loses, the best thing to do is clearly buy a company for 380 million dollars. All joking aside, Sony has purchased the cloud gaming company Gaikai, which leads many to wonder when to expect the new services to arise.
SCE CEO Andrew House had this to say about the deal:
“SCE will deliver a world-class cloud-streaming service that allows users to instantly enjoy a broad array of content ranging from immersive core games with rich graphics to casual content anytime, anywhere on a variety of internet-connected devices.”
Now we wait for more information on how Sony will incorporate this into their gaming services.
