Earlier this year, we all saw the developers of the Stalker Franchise go down, and up until now we have not seen any movement regarding the whole ordeal. That is up until now, anyways. A Ukranian blogger, Sergey Galyonkin, is claiming that none other than Bethesda have picked up the rights for Stalker, and plan to do something with it.

According to Galyonkin, one of his trustworthy sources told him that Bethesda has picked up the rights for Stalker, and anything besides that is all left in the shadows. According to the report, Bethesda can now make games based on the franchise with its own technology. It does not have the rights to extend the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe, however. So basically, they might be signing on to make another S.T.A.L.K.E.R game, but nobody knows for sure.

Bethesda has chosen to not comment on rumors regarding the franchise, so I guess we will have to wait and see whether anything develops. You can be sure to find it here if something does, though!
