With a fighting game like Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, one of the key things that the developers are going to have to take into account will be balance. From the gameplay we have seen, the game is very far from balanced. I don’t know if you remember the E3 footage or not, but from the looks of things, Sweet Tooth’s final attack literally took up half the stage, leaving no place to escape. That being said, this could easily be solved by hosting a public beta. The developers had already invited a very small amount of people to stress test the servers in a private beta, but it looks like now they will be widening their net.
Today, Superbot announced that they will be having a public beta for Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale. Though this beta won’t give you access to everything the game offers, it will give you a pretty good taste. Players will be able to play as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, PaRappa the Rapper, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, and Fat Princess. As for the stages, you will battle on Dreamscape, Metropolis, Sandover Village, and Hades. Oh yeah, as for when you will be able to play this public beta, all we know is that it will drop this fall.
As for the recent leaks regarding Playstation All-Star Battle Royale, SuperBot Entertainment president Chan Park had something to say…
“We’ve enjoyed reading all of the fan reaction and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more our character roster and level mash-ups, however we are still in development and the leaked content does not fully represent the final product nor the incredible efforts that were made to make these elements truly spectacular.”
