Nintendo announced some news regarding Pokemon Black Version 2 and Pokemon White Version 2. There’s no way for me to really simplify it, so I’ll just get to the news.
First, the release date for the Pokedex 3D Pro (see right for pic) has been announced for November 8 on the Nintendo eShop. The Pokedex 3D Pro will offer extensive information on all Pokemon released through the game’s history. The original Pokedex Pro will be evicted from the Nintendo eShop after October 1 to make room for the new version.
Next: a new area called Join Avenue. In Pokemon White Version 2 and Pokemon Black Version 2, Join Avenue is a new location that is comprised of anyone the player met in wireless tag mode, battles, and trades. These characters will proceed to open up shops that sell rare items or even to power up Pokemon. Item rarity at shops will be determined by Join Avenue population.
Next is the Pokemon Dream Radar. This little eShop purchase will be available come October 7 and will play out as a little add-on game. Players will be able to fire at Dream Clouds and be able to catch Pokemon and items. Anything caught in this game can be transferred over into Black Version 2 and White Version 2. Pokemon caught in Dream Radar may also have different, unique abilities that aren’t found in the main game.
Lastly, the Memory Link function. Players will be able to connect Black Version 2 and White Version 2 with previously played Black Version and White Version games to see what happened to key characters over the two year span and capture special Pokemon. Any scenes you encounter in Black/White Version 2 will depend on the length of time and completion status you had in Pokemon White/Black. To be able to use this feature, players will need two DS or 3DS systems or internet access and a Pokemon Black/White game synced up with the Pokemon Global Link site.
Well, that’s it for your Pokemon news. Feeling excited yet?
