I can remember when the word Rare plastered on a game basically meant I was going to own it. To this day, Rock & Roll Racing is still one of my all time favorite games.
However, as of late, the company has been busy making avatar games for Microsoft and there has been very little to be excited about coming from the studio. Well, there is some indication that this might be about to change.
Superannuation at Kotaku has dug up some intriguing job postings by the Rare.
One posting is looking for an engineer who can, “understand, assess, and be capable of implementing real-time rendering techniques made possible by DirectX 11.” Superannuation points out that the current Xbox doesn’t support DirectX 11, so this is an indication that they’re working on something for the next-gen console.
Another posting is looking for a project lead who is familiar with online services and free-to-play.
Any guesses as to what this could be?
