While it might not be a US release date, the EU PS Blog has revealed when the next God of War title will be launching across Europe. God of War: Ascension will be available on the 15th March in the UK and Ireland, the 14th March in Australi and New Zealand, and the 13th March across the rest of Europe. Though there is no US date listed (granted it was released through the EU PS Blog), I would imagine that it will launch around there in the US.
Along with the release date, a couple special editions were revealed.
First up is the Collectors edition, which comes bundled with an 8″ Kratos figurine, a steel book case (which the game is packed in), an official soundtrack download token, a PS3 dynamic theme and avatar pack. As far as collectors edition goes, it is pretty basic.
The Special Edition comes in a premium steel book game case, has a digital download soundtrack token, PS3 dynamic theme and avatar pack, as well as the multiplayer double XP bonus unlock. It’s basically the same as the collectors edition, but it has no Kratos figure. I guess that works.
Are you guys thinking about getting either special edition? Or is the standard edition enough for you cheap asses?
