Ed McMillen of Team Meat, creator of the popular Steam title The Binding of Isaac, stated that Sony is very interested in bringing this game aboard. Originally, it was meant to be on 3DS (a console that it would've been not bad on) but Nintendo ditched it when they saw its HEAVY religious themes. From the sounds of it, we could see this gem on the PS3 or the Vita. Team Meat's previous game, Super Meat Boy, went from Steam to XBLA, so this switch isn't exactly out of the question. My real question is, what do you think of this game? Would it work on PS3/Vita? Which would you rather see it on? I personally think it would be better on Vita. The game is a dungeon crawling, twin-stick shooter with loot. Think Link to the Past style mixed with tons of loot items. Also, the game is only a couple of hours long, but is gruelingly difficult, and every playthrough is different thanks to the wide array of items. Because of this, I think it would be great to see this title on the Vita, where games with shorter play times are ideal. I would buy this in an instant on either, though.
All in all, it is an arcade game. Die once, and you have to start the entire game over again. Like Dragon's Lair, Galaga, Pac Man. etc. No save points. Classic quarter game style. Get some high scores. Sadly, the whole arcade thing is dying out, minus the few family amusement centers (like where I work) that have them. I'd like to see this made into one of those big arcade games. Probably not gonna happen, though. I have not played a Vita, but I have played a PS3, and I can say that if put on a console, it might lose that arcade feel. and overall wouldn't be as fun for me as it was on Steam. It's a game that needs classic buttons and a joystick. Not a controller. Unless the one has those fancy Fighting game board controllers. That would be lovely, since they are completely arcade style controllers. It might be likeable on a Vita, though. I don't really know.
With its Arcade Style it would be great for Vita. Considering the game's length as well, the grueling difficulty isn't a big deal.
I don't think it'd really 'fit' as a PS3/Vita game... it's good on PC, but I wouldn't play it on a console.
Wow I hadn't thought of that. It would be great on the Vita. I'm enjoying it so far on PC, though i suck so bad I can't even get to Mom.
Nintendo shouldn't have ditched this for religious themes. It's core idea is similar to the entry in the Bible but just look at this f***ing game. Blood and poop everywhere.
