If you love pressing “X” so much that your fingers almost fall off, Square Enix might be planning something that will get you super excited. On September 1, the company is holding a stage show to celebrate Final Fantasy’s 25th anniversary in Tokyo, Japan. It was already speculated that they would be announcing something related to Final Fantasy, but now it has been confirmed that the announcement will pertain to Final Fantasy XIII-3. Oh, what a joyous day.
With rumors circulating that Final Fantasy XIII Versus has been canceled, I doubt that the announcement will pertain to that. This leaves Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC, and the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII-3. Considering it has been announced that Square Enix will not develop any more DLC for FF XIII-2, the latter is looking very likely. So there you have it, everyone.
Is Square Enix squeezing the series dry?
