Oh no, Zynga looks to have chosen their next victim. Today, Zynga approached the indie developer Polytron about porting their hit title, Fez, to mobile devices. Zynga has this tendency to seek out indie developers who have seen success, and attempt to take them over. I mean, look what happened to OMGPop. Obviously saying no, Polytron got a little bit sassy, and tweeted about the encounter.
“Zynga approached us to port Fez to mobile. We politely refused. So, look forward to Zynga’s Fex any day now, I guess!”
I don’t know about you guys, but I kind of giggled when I read that. I like reading silly little interactions like this. They make my brain tingle with happiness. When asked if the claim was genuine, Polyton replied: “It actually happened.”
Take that Zynga, you swine!
