The Amazing Spider-Man, a new Spidey title by Beenox that’s supposed to be a sequel to the upcoming film, is set to be due June 26 in the USA and June 29 in Europe for PS3, 360, Wii, PC, 3DS, and DS. Spider-Man is my favorite Marvel superhero, and I’m hoping that this game will do fairly well. I’m excited that they went back to an open-world environment, as I really think Spider-Man games need to have that element. After all, what’s a Spider-Man if he can’t swing where he wants?
I am a bit nervous about the combat system, as it does draw instant comparison to Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. However, I’d imagine that as long as it’s still fun, it shouldn’t really matter in the end.
What do you think about the next Spider-Man game?
