The name should ring a bell to those interested in Indie games or Flash games. Even if the name isn’t familiar, there’s a good chance you’ve played one of his games, whether it be a console port of Super Meat Boy, the Newgrounds version of Time Fcuk, or his latest creation, The Binding of Isaac.

Whether you know him or not, now is a great time to get in on the fun. Coming eventually (no release date has been given as of yet) is the Edmund McMillen “Basement Collection”. The Basement Collection will include six of his previous works, including two secret bonus games. Not only are the games just “there”, but they all also include some sort of improvement. Of the improvements are an extra, second campaign for Time Fcuk, and more precise controls for pre-Super Meat Boy. An overall plus is the transfer of most if not all games from Flash to Adobe Air, bringing increased performance, better UI, and the inclusion of use for the right click button.

In addition to the eight games, behind-the-scenes videos and features are also included for every game. A nifty little feature at the game select screen is the basic info; release date, development time, and who worked on the art, programming, and sound. All of this is available for the low price of $4; a steal for 8 games and behind-the-scenes content.

As stated before, no release date has been mentioned for the collection.
