Electronics Arts has announced that they are going to be appointing a new Executive Vice President, as well as a new Cheif Financial Officer. The only catch to the situation is that it’s actually the same person. One person taking on the responsibility of CFO and Executive Vice President? Let’s just hope the Electronic Arts knows what they are doing!

The man taking over the positions Blake Jorgensen. Up until now, Jorgensen has been filling the same positions at Levi Strauss & Co, as well as having previous experience being Yahoo’s CFO. Basically, he seems like he is the perfect man for the position.

Jorgensen will officially take over his new position in September. EA’s CEO John Riccitiello praised the decision. He had this to say…

”[Jorgensen's] deep understanding of finance and experience in online commerce and entertainment will be instrumental to EA’s transformation into digital distribution of game content and services.”

I’m sure we won’t really see much noticable difference from EA, or at least in terms of what we pay attention to. They will still release awesome titles. I wonder if they will still be the most hated company in America.
