Compa and IF, while not having a hugely significant part in Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, are going to be making a return in Neptune V. The only catch is that they will be returning a little bit younger than they were before, meaning that the timeline for Neptune V lies before the events in Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2. That’s just a small bit of the information that was revealed about the upcoming Neptune title.
Scans of Dengeki PlayStation also show a new CPU, even if she is still a baby. PC is supposed to be PC-Engine better known as the TurboGrafx-16 in Japan. She has a bee on her bib representing Hudson. She is the newest of the CPUs, and considering the fate of the TurboGrafx-16, I don’t see good things happening for her in Neptune V.
The last bit of information in the article details the customization system that will be featured in Neptune V. It will be called Disc Make. Basically, you start out with a blank disc. You can insert chips into the disc, and that will give you various functions and abilities. These chips can either lead you to a really good game, or it can be your downfall.
Neptune V still hasn’t been confirmed for a western release, but there is definitely still time.
