Administrators of GAME Australia stores have announced that they will be closing down 60 stores.

Along with the closing of the 60 stores, it is said that there will also be a loss of around 264 jobs, including 17 head office positions as well.

Kate Warwick, voluntary administrator of GAME Australia, said this about the closings:

This is a difficult time for employees and closing the stores was not a decision we made easily. However it is not financially viable to continue to operate at this level at this time.
