An Angry Birds cartoon? That’s right. It seems that Rovio wants to be the next Disney with their iconic suicidal birds (clearly not Disney-like). As reported by the BBC, Rovio animation head Nick Dorra revealed that the 52 episode series will make it’s way to all possible platforms this year.
He also stated that the new cartoon will allow fans to partake and draw newcomers to the franchise. Clever marketing strategy.
Lastly, Dorra stated that “Angry Birds is not just about the gameplay,” stating that it will involve “less and less about the slingshot and more about the characters and their adventures and all different kinds of games in different forms.” That’s great! Looks like we might see what happens to the birds after they launch their bodies onto bricks and boxes of TNT.
