We already knew that Resident Evil 6 was going to have a pretty lengthy cast of playable characters, but now you can go ahead and add one more to that list. Though it was teased at Comic-Con 2012, Famitsu has confirmed that Capcom has added Ada Wong as a playable character in Resident Evil 6. The only problem is that you might have to put quite a few hours into the game before you get to take control of her. In order to select Ada Wong, you have to complete the game with the other 3 characters. Maybe she’s shy or something.

In an interview with Famitsu, executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi revealed a little bit about what exactly Ada Wong’s story will add to the game as a whole. Apparently, most of Ada’s story will just be clean up for the other stories. She will shed light on some of the loose ends that the other scenarios create, as well as show exactly what she was doing throughout this whole fiasco. She will be alone as well, so she won’t have any of those annoying helping characters to aid her (Thank god, I don’t even want to remember the monstrosity that was Sheva in RE5). On a side note, she uses a crossbow that can shoot quite a few thing, like projectile bombs.

The other thing that was revealed in the Famitsu article was Agent Hunt mode. The concept is pretty similar to mechanics found in Dark Souls, where you go into other players world as monsters with the goal of killing the player controlled units. Considering the fact that the player controlled units have a huge advantage, you will have to take advantage of the other AI controlled monsters, as well as other human controlled creatures. There are creature-creature chats which can be utilized. They can’t be heard by the human player, so they are ideal for planning. Agent Hunt mode will also feature leaderboards.

Luckily, you can turn off Agent Hunt mode if you don’t want your friends invading your world and destroying your hopes and dreams of saving the world. You can check out some gameplay from Ada Wong’s campaign, as well as agent hunt mode below.
