Activision is publishing an FPS based on AMC’s The Walking Dead TV series, starring one of the most loved character’s and also one of the most irrelevant characters on the show.

Not to mention that they’re backwoods, racist bigots.

The game is being developed by Terminal Reality and is scheduled to be released next year. According to IGN, the game will feature everyone’s favorite redneck-hillbilly, Daryl Dixon and his crazy racist brother, Merl. The story takes place before the events in Atlanta, which make up season one of the show.

Why anyone thought making this series into a first-person-shooter (let alone based around these two) would be a good idea, I’ll never know. Hopefully as more details emerge the direction the game of the game will become more clear.
