Yesterday, a bid was going on for quite an interesting item on eBay: a development kit for the upcoming Xbox 720 (or “Durango” if you wish to call it such). At this time, the bid has ended.
The bid of the item included over 40 people and ended with a winning amount of $20,100.
It seems a bit weird to me that someone would “sell” an Xbox 720 development kit though. After all, I’m sure that there could be legal issues from Microsoft that might transpire if someone did sell it. If it isn’t an actual development kit, legal issues would follow (only now from a disgruntled buyer). However, I’m not in the console-making business, so I can’t say whether or not someone could see this. It just seems fishy to me.
The “Durango”, or Xbox 720, is expected to (or thought to) be released sometime next year, but that isn’t an exact confirmation.
